Ripley Park Rules and Regulations
Alcohol Consumption
Alcoholic beverages are permitted in Ripley Park subject to state and local regulations (e.g., no minors, no sales without state/local permit, etc.). Plastic bottles or cans only, NO GLASS. Private parties renting shelters may have draft beer as approved on their shelter reservation agreement.
Animals
Pets, strays, and other domestic animals are not allowed in Ripley Park for reasons of comfort, safety, and cleanliness, with the exception of service dogs. Service dog means a dog that is specifically trained to assist a person with a disability.
Driving in the Park
Driving in the park beyond the paved driveway is not allowed, except for park maintenance and service vehicles.
Fires
Fires outside of grills (either provided or brought in), are not allowed under any circumstances.
Fireworks
Under state law, fireworks that “go up or blow up” are illegal and not allowed in Ripley Park.
Fishing
Fishing is not allowed at Ripley Park.
Golf
Golfing is not allowed in Ripley Park, as airborne golf balls are safety hazards, unclaimed golf balls become litter, and golf balls struck by lawn mowers can travel great distances and cause damage to humans and property.
Music
Personal music devices must be kept at a normal volume without explicit language that may be offensive to surrounding park patrons and families.
Swimming
Swim at your own risk as there are no lifeguards on duty. It is advised to swim within the Swim Area buoys as watercraft is not allowed in these areas. Small swimmers are encouraged to swim within the marked shallow area.
Water Balloons
Water Balloons are not allowed at Ripley Park or in any of the shelters.
Weapons
This is a privately owned beach. We prohibit the use or carry of any weapon such as knives larger than 10” and firearms of any sort.
