Youth Basketball

At Cambridge CAP, we are committed to ensuring our programs reflect the needs of our community. In strong collaboration with the high school varsity basketball coaches & the Cambridge Hoops Club, we are making some adjustments to our youth basketball programs. Our mission is to continue to provide a developmental program that gives all athletes meaningful minutes on the court with the end goal of helping build a strong basketball program at the high school level. We are excited for the renewed connection with the high school coaches who will be hands on in the youth program as well as essential in providing youth coaches training.

Your child will love this introduction to the sport of basketball. Each week will introduce new skills & techniques related to the game. What they learn will create a strong foundation of skills, an attitude of sportsmanship, & a love for basketball.

Dates: October 25 - December 6 (except 11/29)

Fee: $85 R / $100 NR ($10 late fee after registration deadline)

This program is designed to provide athletes with their first experiences in a youth basketball league. ESBYL provides a developmental travel league with games taking place on Saturdays in surrounding communities.

Coaches will contact players to notify them of practice & games schedules. Parents should anticipate practices for teams to start no more than 3 weeks prior to their team’s first Saturday of games.

Girls Season
Dates: November 22 - January 31

Dates: December 6 - February 28
Registration Deadline: Friday, September 19

Fee: $125 R / $140NR ($10 late fee after registration deadline)

Important Information & Dates:
Please note for 7 & 8 grade participants there will be an overlap between this program & NMS school basketball. During that time, BDL practices will be modified but games will continue as scheduled.

This program is designed to provide athletes with a stronger level of competition while providing athlete development & meaningful minutes on the court. Attendance, attitude, sportsmanship, skill level & commitment are assessed to determine playing time. CAP, youth & high school coaches will determine the appropriate team placement within BDL. Practices & games will take place both during the week & on the weekends.

Coaches will contact players to notify them of practice times & games. Parents should anticipate practices for teams to start no more than 3 weeks prior to their team’s first weekend of games.
