Sign up for this course and become a certified lifeguard through the American Red Cross. The classes are led by Red Cross-certified Lifeguard Instructors. This is a blended-learning course, which includes an online module that must be completed
before attending the in-person sessions.

Prerequisites Swim Details
Before beginning in-water training, participants must pass a skills test that includes:
300 yard swim (Freestyle, Breaststroke, or a combination)
2-minute tread using only legs
Timed Event (1 minute 40 seconds): Swim 20 yards, retrieve a 10-pound brick from the pool’s bottom, and return 20 yards to the starting point.

Participants MUST attend all dates and times. No exceptions!
