ASA Windmill Softball
Dates: Mid May thru late July
The Cambridge CAP participates in an ASA sanctioned Windmill Girls’ Fast Pitch League. Girls are divided into leagues according to their age; cutoff is the age as of January 1, 2023. All levels of CAP Softball are traveling leagues with games played both at home and away (parent transportation required). Uniform tops are provided to all first year players; players provide their own gray pants. Practice schedules will vary from coach to coach; coaches will contact players to notify them of their first meeting date.
There will be an informational meeting for all coaches on Wednesday, April 5 at 6:00 pm in the CHS Community Room. Practices may begin 3 weeks prior to first game
Windmill Softball – U8
Ages: 7 – 9
Fee: $45 R / $60 NR (before March 31)
$55 R / $65 NR (after March 31)
The focus at this level will be on learning the fundamentals of softball. The games will be played on Wednesday evenings.
Windmill Softball – U10, U12, U14
Ages: 9 – 15
Fee: $65 R / $75 NR (before March 31)
$75 R / $85 NR (after March 31)
Coaches will help determine the appropriate league of play based on the birthdates of the majority of the girls in the class. Doubleheaders are played for both home and away games.
Windmill Softball – U16
Ages: 16 – 18
Fee: $75 R / $90 NR (before March 31)
$85 R / $100 NR (after March 31)
The U16 softball program is run in conjunction and under the guidance of the CHS softball program. Players are expected to commit to practices and games, with playing time being reflective of commitment and skill. Doubleheaders are played for both home and away games.
