Cook with Books is a great way to promote reading and cooking. Themed sesions will include a new story and recipe each week. Children will receive a cookbook at the end of each session. Minimum 9 participants.

Beaded Jewlery

Learn how to make your own beaded jewelry! All supplies will be provided to make two pairs of earrings, two necklaces and two bracelets, but participants will get to choose their own color and styles. There will be over 200 bead colors and shapes to choose from, materials ranging from crystal, glass, pearls, shells, and metal. We can match your favorite outfi t, make a one of a kind piece to accent your special occasion dress, or make gifts for your favorite ladies!

Art in the Park

Lets create an explosion of nature projects and do some summer exploration. From gnome lands to bird feeders and beach collages. The ideas are endless when we put nature and creativity together! Softball Umpiring 101

Are you hoping to make some extra cash this summer? Looking for a part-time job with flexible hours? The CAP is looking for umpires for both the summer baseball and softball programs. Interested students must attend Umpiring 101, a clinic designed to teach the basics of umpiring, including rules, signals, and the roles of the base and plate umpires. Attendance is mandatory for all CAP baseball officials. Contact the CAP for more information.

Blue Jay Choir

You wont want to miss your chance to sing with the Blue Jay Choir. Ms. Erickson is eager to work with the fourth and fifth graders and offer three concerts to the community! Participants will perform at the combined school concert (5/10), the Cambridge/Deerfield Players Theater Dinner Show and the Memorial Day Service. Minimum 15 participants.

Babysitting Training

Violin Lessons

Fee: $140 R/ $155 NR for six half-hour lessons; violins available for rent at an affordable price with 6 month minimum commitment.
The CAP is again offering violin lessons to all ages! Lessons will include an introduction to music and music theory, classical music and improvisation. Lessons will be taught in half-hour time slots based on instructor availability. Registration is not available online; please contact the CAP office at (608) 423-8108 to register.

Youth Volunteer Camp
Dates: June 18 22Time: 10:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Ages: 11 14
Location: Ripley Park
Fee: $60 R / $75 NR
Our volunteer camp will be one your teen will never forget. The camp will begin with participants getting to know each other through team building activities. Campers will then spend a portion of each day participating in community service projects that range from sorting food at food banks to visiting with area senior citizens. Not only will they partake in important community service activities, but they will also have fun and relax with activities like bowling, swimming and a cook out. Cost includes all camp supplies, transportation, admission for reward trips, and a snack. Participants are required to bring a sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, and sunscreen with them to camp each day. Min 8 / Max 16
