Summer Open Hours

The Youth Center will be open this summer as a place for your child to get together with friends in a safe and supervised atmosphere. Students who attend the Youth Center during the summer will enjoy numerous activities including outdoor games, open gym, movies, crafts, a free healthy snack, and more. Students will need to bring a sack lunch from home. A registration form is required to be on fi le at the Youth Center.
Located in the NMS, the Youth Center offers a safe place for youth to participate in positive social, recreational, educational, and community service activities under the supervision of professional staff. Each day will include a free healthy snack.
Activities include: open gym, homework club, crafts, video games, foosball, board & card games, football, movies, billiards, youth council, outdoor games & activities, field trips, tv, ping pong, basketball, computers, socializing with friends, and filtered internet.
The Youth Center will be closed on the following dates:

The Youth Council is a group of middle school students who dedicate time to help the Youth Center and the community. The Youth Council is involved in planning programs, activities, fundraisers, and trips for the Youth Center, along with volunteering at the Youth Center and in the community. Students who sign up for Youth Council should plan to attend meetings every other Monday at 5:00 p.m. Talk to the Youth Center staff if you are interested in having your child become a Youth Council member, or if you have a community service project idea for the Youth Council to tackle!Homework Challenge
The Homework Challenge is designed for students who choose to work on their homework while at the Youth Center. Students earn points to attain prizes by reaching each of the four point levels. Points are earned by: beginning homework promptly, working hard, helping others with homework, completing all work, working with the tutor, working on homework on Fridays, and attaining teachers proof of completion at school. Every two months the top five Homework Club point earners are also rewarded with a trip of their choice!School's Out Sessions

When school is out, the Youth Center is the place to be! Participate in special games, create a craft, and enjoy a movie with popcorn. Pizza will be provided for lunch.

YC Dance Night

Come with your friends for this fun-filled Friday night! This dance will have contests, Wii games, and a night full of dancing. Concessions will be available for students.

Youth Volunteer Camp
Dates: June 18 22Time: 10:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.
Ages: 11 14
Location: Ripley Park
Fee: $60 R / $75 NR
Our volunteer camp will be one your teen will never forget. The camp will begin with participants getting to know each other through team building activities. Campers will then spend a portion of each day participating in community service projects that range from sorting food at food banks to visiting with area senior citizens. Not only will they partake in important community service activities, but they will also have fun and relax with activities like bowling, swimming and a cook out. Cost includes all camp supplies, transportation, admission for reward trips, and a snack. Participants are required to bring a sack lunch, swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, and sunscreen with them to camp each day. Min 8 / Max 16

Raising Dough for the Cambridge Youth Center with Papa Murphy's
The Youth Center is offering a convenient way for you to get your Papa Murphy's pizza and contribute to theYouth Center at the same time!
Simply place your order by noon on the first Monday of each month, and pick up your order at the Youth Center on the first Tuesday of each month between 4:30-6:00 pm. The Youth Center will receive a portion of each sale!
Pick up will be at the Cambridge Youth Center, 211 South St. from 4:30-6:00 pm.
