Ripley Park

Ripley Park Disc Golf Course Trial Day

Sunday, May 6 2:00 pm at Ripley Park
All skill levels welcome to play on proposed disc golf course and give feedback.


Ripley Park, located on the west shores of Lake Ripley, is an 18 acre park privately owned by the Cambridge Foundation and managed by CAP. Ripley Park is open seasonally from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The park will be open this year from May 28 to September 6.

This beautiful park has something for everyone! Bring your family and friends to the park and enjoy a day at the beach. Ripley Park is home to two tennis courts, a basketball court, a children's play structure, volleyball courts, and much more.

Lake Ripley Ride

Date: Saturday, July 28
Time: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (62 mile riders are encouraged to begin at 8:00 a.m.)
Location: Ripley Park, Cambridge WI
Ages: Riders 12 and under will need to accompanied by an adult at all times
Fee: $35 before 6/1/12, $40 after 6/1/12

The Cambridge Lake Ripley Ride features three distances: a family friendly 22-mile (mostly flat) route, a longer and slightly hilly 40-mile route, and a more challenging 62-mile metric century route. You will ride quiet country roads and visit Cambridge, Rockdale, Marshall, and London. Registration includes t-shirt, map/cue sheet, scenic rest stops, sag wagon, a sandy swimming beach, and a FANTASTIC post-ride celebration featuring live music and a tasty Cambridge Lions Club dinner. Proceeds benefit CAP (Cambridge Community Activities Program) and JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes. Follow us on Facebook at Lake Ripley Ride.

Race day registration will be accepted but there may be a delay in receiving a t-shirt.

All season passes are valid May 28 - September 5. Season passes may be purchase at the CAP office prior to May 28 or at Ripley Park gatehouse after May 28. Please note special events may require an additional fee.

Daily Admission $2 Adult, $1 children 12 & under
Hours of Operation Ripley park is open from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. daily. Facilities (restrooms, gatehouse and concessions) close at 5:00 p.m. daily. Hours may be modified due to weather conditions.

Reserve A Shelter

Cambridge's Ripley Park is the perfect location to host your next event! Rent a shelter or gather at the beach! Ripley Park is a great place for: family reunions, company picnics, birthday parties, cook-outs, playgroups, baby or bridal showers and much more!
Please contact the Cambridge CAP at (608) 423-8108 to reserve a shelter at Ripley Park. Shelter reservations must be made at least one week in advance.

Lion's North Shelter        South Shelter

The North Shelter is the largest of the four pavilions at Ripley Park. North Shelter offers 15 picnic tables underneath the shelter, with more tables available upon request. Additionally, North Shelter is in close proximity to the park restrooms. The shelter is 30 ft x 40 ft, is equipped with electrical outlets, and has close access to a charcoal grill.

The South Shelter is a 24 ft x 36 ft shelter with electrical outlets. This shelter offers 11-14 picnic tables, with more available upon request. The South Shelter is located across the field space from the restrooms.

The Ripley Shelter is adjacent to the restrooms and bath house, and is identical in size and set up to the Evinrude Shelter. Ripley shelter overlooks the beach and playground area while staying in close proximity to the parking lot.

The Evinrude Shelter is located adjacent to the restrooms and bath house. There are 4-6 picnic tables located under this 15 ft x 20 ft shelter, which is equipped with electrical outlets.

Park Rules & Regulations

Alcohol Consumption
Alcoholic beverages are permitted in Ripley Park subject to state and local regulations (e.g., no minors, no sales without state/local permit, etc.). Plastic bottles or cans only, NO GLASS. Private parties renting shelters may have draft beer as approved on their shelter reservation agreement.

Animals
Pets, strays, and other domestic animals are not allowed in Ripley Park for reasons of comfort, safety, and cleanliness, with the exception of service dogs. Service dog means a dog that is trained for the purpose of assisting a person with a sensory, mental, or physical disability or accommodating such a disability.

Driving in the Park
Driving in the park beyond the paved driveway is not allowed, except for park maintenance and service vehicles.

Fires
Fires outside of grills (either provided or brought in), are not allowed under any circumstances.

Fireworks
Under state law, fireworks that “go up or blow up” are illegal and not allowed in Ripley Park.

Fishing
Fishing is not allowed at Ripley Park.

Golf
Golfing is not allowed in Ripley Park, as airborne golf balls are safety hazards, unclaimed golf balls become litter, and golf balls struck by lawn mowers can travel great distances and cause damage to humans and property.
